Sunshine Staff

We are very proud of our highly qualified, experienced and well balanced team. Our role is to encourage, support and facilitate each child's natural learning and consider ourselves positive role models. At Sunshine we provide a minimum of 1, often 2 or 3 staff above the ratio at any one time.

We follow a 1:3 ratio for our under 2’s, 1:4 ratio for our 2 to 3 year olds and 1:8 ratio for our 3 to 5 year olds.

We also have a number of staff able to cover in emergencies or trips who are familiar to the children. Know our philosophies, routines and parents to minimise the use of unknown agency staff.

When we travel out of nursery we facilitate a ratio between 1:1 and 1:4.

We have our own apprenticeship programme and also encourage students from a variety of schools and colleges to carry out their placements with us.

All staff and students are displayed on our staff team wall in reception.
